Alongside your A Levels, The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a standalone qualification which enables you to research a topic of your choice, create a project, and present your findings to a small group. You can take the EPQ alongside your A Level studies.

Students will have the opportunity to take part in local field trips to urban and coastal environments to apply their learning in the real world. We also offer trips further afield, with previous trips to London, Italy and Iceland. Students are given the opportunity to sample life as a Geography undergraduate and extend their knowledge with guest speakers from Liverpool University, as well as attend lectures delivered by the Geographical Association in Manchester. Talks are also arranged from environmental groups such as Dynamic Dunescapes, which help students apply their geographical understanding to real life situations.
