- Overview
The purpose of the transition programme is to fully prepare you to progress onto one of our Digital T Levels and make an informed choice of pathway whilst building your transferable skills. As an integral part of this you also gain access to a recognised Level 2 qualification should the T Level route not be the intended destination. This qualification aims to equip you with the IT user skills needed for full participation in employment and society and alternative progression routes if that is more appropriate for you. The qualification recognises employers’ needs for a Digital qualification that reflect real-world skills, and the challenges of work place learning. You will cover topics such as programming, problems solving, games design and digital graphics.

You will study a variety of topics in the IT industry including computer systems, graphics, mobile app development and computer hardware.
As part of the course you will also study English and/or Maths to develop employability skills and prepare you for progression.

- Entry Requirements
Level 2: a minimum of 4 x Grade 3s and you must have Grade 4 in either Maths or English.
- How will I be assessed?
Two units through external assessment; all other units are assessed by coursework.
- Progression Pathway
Successful completion of the course may give you the opportunity to progress in college, into employment, or in the IT field as a junior employee or Apprentice.
