T Levels are a fresh and exciting alternative to A Levels as they offer a work focussed experience which combines academic study of the highest quality with practical industry related skills. In addition, T Levels include a mandatory placement of 315 hours minimum, typically completed across 45 days, that has been built into the course to further develop individual skills.

Year 1 Management and Administration Core Component:
This core content focuses on providing you with the building blocks of knowledge and the development of skills to succeed in business. You will gain an understanding of contexts, concepts, theories, principles and core skills, that will give you a broad understanding of the industry and job roles.
You will cover topics including:
• Business context
• People
• Quality and compliance
• Finance
• Policies and procedures
• Project and change management
• Business behavioursYear 2 Occupational Specialism:
You will complete one specialism to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to achieve threshold competence in a specialist area. This means that you reach a standard to enter the occupation or industry, or go on to further study. These specialisms are specific to Business Management and Administration roles such as:
• Business Improvement
• Team Leadership and Management
• Business SupportAs part of the T-Level you will also complete a substantial work placement (minimum 45 days).

- Entry Requirements
Overall requirements for the T Level Programme at Runshaw College are 5 x Grade 4s in Maths & English.

- Progression Pathway
T levels will provide you with opportunities to progress to university, apprenticeships or full time employment in related specialist areas. Students can progress onto roles such as business administrators, operation or departmental managers, teams leaders and supervisors and management consultants to name just a few!

Year 1 Externally assessed examinations from the Management and Administration core component and 1 employer set project. Year 2 Occupational specialism and an industry placement. The Management and Administration Core Component is graded overall A*- E. The Occupational Specialisms are graded as Distinction, Merit, Pass. An overall grade for the T-Level graded as Distinction, Merit, Pass.
